Well that's settled - I'm off to London at the beginning of August - the hotel has been gallantly paid for by my friends so I just have to stump up the train fare - if I book it early enough I might get a discount. Hippyhoppy - I remember you are in Derby. The Telegraph has ads which say you can get to London by train for as little as �12 - one way. Probably a lot of restrictions - my son recently paid �60+ for peak time return but it can be done for about �42 without prebooking.

just got it confirmed tonight and I'm so excited I can't see straight!! How ridiculous - I'm with my kids all the time and to not have them is going to be weird!! But I am going to make the most of this trip!! London watch out!! LOL - thanks for the info Rabbity..
