could the awesum car chase actually happen or was it set up to work like that?

in theory i guess the chase scene could happen, but its unlikely. the only bit i know for sure that is faked is the end where the tram flies in the air above a huge ball of flames. the flames on the left hand side (underneath the tram) were super-imposed to cover the hydraulic lifting jack.

And the ferrari that gets trashed was a pontiac based replica, not a real ferrari.
