I heard this on Matthew Wright's show The Wright Stuff, this morning on Channel 5 and had to share. It's amazing to read the list of names that didn't get through versus the list of names that did.

Not so much appalling, but you still have to giggle, I have a friend called Paul whose surname is Ennis, so when he gets his mail...

I saw this on the news this morning, cant believe anyone would call their kid no 16 bus shelter or violence :(

Someone once called their daughter Clamydia, the mind boggles.Apparently we're reasonably lax here about names and what you can call a kid, my ex wife is pregnant and living in Germany and they can't call their son ' Lincoln' apparently bc it's a place name and not allowed.you have to pick from an official list of names there she said, which sounds harsh but when you hear of people calling their kid bus shelter it makes more sense.
