Any remedies for loss of taste in a lady in her mid-eighties. She has been taking the drug, Tamoxifen, for breast cancer. Her doctor does not know if this is a side effect of the drug or if it is age-related.

They say that eating something spicy will help with the taste buds.The info on the tamoxifen will tell you the side effects of the drug, all drugs have to have info for the person taking them it should be inside the box .Hope this helps.g.

I had a google and the only things that came up seemed to be a metallic taste in the mouth and general dryness.
