How do they do that?

I bought my daughter a fifi fun pack which has 2 seeds in for her to grow a flower, the seeds were about half an inch in diameter and you plant them in a small plant pot. To my amazement the flowers have a stem and a pod on top which leaves are growing out of and the pods are about an inch and a half in length but they have FIFI etched on either side of them, how is this possible, surely the seed is an ungrown plant which hasn't actually developed in the pods yet and these grow from the seed.
Any ideas?

No offence meant Big Dad, but there are one or two jokers on this site. I must say, I`m astonished that this is possible, I`ve thought hard about it, but cannot fathom how this would be achieved. I too would love to know the answer.
