Escaped hamster

Our pet hamster escaped the other and since then our cat has coughed up a grey furr ball which looks like the same colour. I dont know how to tell my daughter. What I was thinking about doing was drawing some eyes on a piece of paper and sticking it on the furr ball and telling my daughter that little jeffrey has been on a diet. What you think?

I reported this" Q" because I thought it was sick and certainly not what this topic is all about. We all know fellow ABers who come here looking for advice and support.....and ocasionally a laugh about their pets antics. This offered none of the above. I am sorry my response bothered someone.

I agree with you pastafreak, as someone whose hamster recently escaped from his cage and was killed by the cat about 5 seconds later in front of us in the lounge I thought this was a genuine question. I'm not soppy but I couldn't sleep all night after and kept crying the next day 'cos i felt so guilty about not ensuring the cage was secure.
