The whole point about not giving questions a fixed lifespan is that they remain in the archive and are available for reference.
That means the next time someone wants to know what the music is in the Citroen C4 / Toyota Verso advert, they should see (and heed) the page that warns them that the question has been asked before.
Your suggestion will mean that the next time someone posts the question 'what product was 'Tasty, tasty, very very tasty'?' and not surprisingly, receives no reply (because it's been answered a million times before), they will continue to post the question every 7-10 days.
