Does anyone know if you have to pay for cases that go in the hold of the plane when flying with Flybe ? or is it included in the price of the package holiday.

I looked on the Flybe website - very easy to find the information you want:

Each checked item of hold baggage is charges at 7.99 / 11.00 / CHF17.00, per item, per sector, if booked in advance through the www.flybe.com website, and 12.00 / 18.00 / CHF26.00 per item, per sector if presented un-booked at the airport or if booked through the Flybe Customer Call Centre.

Excess luggage GBP9.00 / EUR12.00 / CHF18.00 per kilo. Charges may vary for franchise or code share routes not operated by Flybe.

So yes, you have to pay extra for hold luggage.
