Bob -he has just been interviewed and he said he didnt know he was on for the record -if he hadnt taken his foot off then he absolutely would have shattered it -its one of those glad I was there to see it moments -amazing !!!!

I was aghast -I couldnt believe it -the man is truly amazing -a great sporting moment whick will go down in the annals of time !!!

thing is though he can easily break that record so if he keeps breaking it by fractions he will make a lot of money each time rather than if he had gone flat out today there would have been no room for improvement, so maybe that's why he slowed down :)
