There is a picture in a book i want to have made large . can i get it printed ? any laws on this ? i have been in touch with the publisher and no joy ...

What do you plan on doing with the picture? Is it just for personal use?

Yes, its for my husband and itl be hung on our wall at home
In that case, I don't see any harm.

If you were making a poster campaign for your town then that would be different but as you are just making a copy of the picture for your own personal use, it's ok.
