what breed is my cat?

I recently got a kitten from a private owner and am about to take out pet insurance but although it may sound silly I have no idea what to put as the breed. I thought it would be a moggy but then I thought it might be domestic long hair. The litter was really mixed with a tabby, pure white, white and black. My kitten is white with with cream coloured patches. Please help, I dont want to put the wrong thing on the form as it will all be invalid should I need to make a claim.

Some forms actually let you put down 'moggy' as breed so you could check it that would be ok with the insurer.  Or if you want a definitive answer, ask your vet - your kitten will probly be a short, semi-long or long-haired british domestic which I think is the PC way of saying moggy!  I doubt he is a particular breed as pedigree kittens generally sell at a premium!

If you didn't pay a large sum of money for the kitty, my guess would be that it is a "moggy" so would be either a domestic long or shorthair depending on it's coat length.

If your really not sure have a look on the vet's vacination certificate. If your having it insured it should be vacinated as this is a condition of most insurance companies.
