What do you mean'How is it installed?'

A box with a siren and flashing light is fixed to the outside of your house.

Each room (or as many rooms as you want) has a sensor of some type in it.

Wires run from the siren/flashy thing to each sensor and also to a conbtrol panel which is usually by the front door.
