Kitchen Cabinet Doors

Hi all, our Kitchen Doors need knew life putting back into them, the Varnish has become dull as they do my Question, has anyone attepted to Re-Varnish these doors & did you have good results? I am fairly handy with DIY I want good results, would it be cheaper to get them done? or do it myself. Thanks.

I did some for a customer last year. Make sure that they are perfectly clean, & all traces of grease & fat are removed. I used furniture restoring fluid such as Libnet, using very-fine wire wool. In the crevices I used an old toothbrush. I then washed it down with sugar soap, before giving it a couple of coats of varnish.
