My 15yr old son has flowing locks - I much prefered it short, but he is growing up etc. We have traditional meals when we all sit around the table, him, younger brother, older sister & 2 parents and he often combs his hair.Anyway I think that it is really bad manners if he combs his hair at the table, and he can't understand why I object. am I hopelessly old fashioned or does any one else agree with me? To me it is on a par with fileing your corns etc! I feel in need of some support! Thanks
One way to fix him.....pull his hair out of brush and plonk it on his plate of food......or better use your hair!
My son cuts his toe-nails in our lounge soon after I have hoovered!
Thank goodness, another woman has removed him from my home....I love her the most!!
Don't put up with it any longer. Combing your hair at the meal table is just gross....no one would dream of doing that in a restaurant.
Tell him he either combs or eats with you...and stick to your guns.
PS What about some support from the others in your family...time to call for some solidarity.
hmmmm , my oppinion is just let him have his hair just say to him that it has grown on u r sumthing , u need to talk to him about when he brushes his hair over th table tell him why it is bad manners , dont worry he will soon grow out of his hair he will soon want it short again ,
Thanks Rachael88 - sounds like sense to me. I'll look forward to the day when short hair is in again. For now I'll just have to call him Rapunzel and persuade him to tend his locks away from the table :o)
