call in at your local chemist, ask to see the pharmacist, show him your eyes and ask if there is anything he recommends.
I'm sure there is some cream you can buy to put on at night before you go to bed.
There is an old wives tale I believe in and thats
"cold used teabags"
Just soak your eyes with a teabag on each eye. Rinse away the tea around your eyes coz the tea may stain.
It cools your eyes too.
Me and my family have used this remedy for years.....even the cat when he was a kitten (RIP)
2 main types:
a) allergic conjunctivitis
b) infective conjunctivitis.
The fomer needs anti-allergic treatment and the second antibiotic drops or cream. Sometimes difiicult to distinguish thetwo, but sound like allergic type.If Optrex doesn't work, then the chemist will give you antihistamine drops.
I object to Le Chat describing your doctor as a "dick" He has had 6yrs of medical training followed by at least 2yrs of post graduate training. His diagnosis and treatment may or may not be appropriate, but calling him a "dick" emphasis the breakdpwn of respect in our society shown to many of the professions.
Conjunctivitis may be difficult ti diagnose with certainty, allergic or bacterial and with this doubt Optrex would seem an appropriate treatment.
