Sitting here wondering what you guys do? Are you at work?At home(Bored house wife/husband?) Are you professional quizzers or crossword compilers?

Yes ...good idea and get a load of abuse from people who wonder what on earth Rumbling is on about .
He's asked about Puzzlers ..ie people who frequent Q&P not that den of iniquity over there.

I am retired Rumbling and just enjoy Quizzes and Puzzles .It passes the time when I should be really doing other things like lawn mowing ,laundry and housework :))

You are right Shaneystar2 Tried chatterbox once NEVER again It's for reality tv watchers I think.Sorry if I upset you Shawnee or anyone else.Just so amazed at the depths of Q&Pers knowledge.I am at work supposed to be selling houses hence all this free time!! I'm of the female variety too ..you must be fed up with the housing market as it is at the moment ! A friend of mine worked for one of the biggies down in Hampshire( the mob with all the million pound properties ) and she got laid off ! Luckily she's not far off retiring .But it's a worry for people .Take care and enjoy your time here with us .We are generally a friendly lot :))

Hi Rumbling - I am happy Granny = still working 4 days a week. Love quizzes of any sort but a bit of a dunce with cryptics. Don't know how I managed without my friends on answer bank who are only to happy to share their knowledge.

wish I could afford to sell my house !
I am a silver surfer, still work full time too, hubby has lost his sight, so I started to do xwords as a hobby as I did not think it fair to have the tv blasting all the time and xwords is a "silent hobby" and he can listen to the radio. I bought lots of ref books and I have "ivor engine" my little spell checker/anagram solver, then if I still cant get the answer I use this site and peple are friendly and very helpful, but I only use as last resort and I always check the site first in case my query has already been answered, I stumbled upon this site by accident, but I am glad I did.

Nice to hear from you guys.I too am a Granny,working full time if not made redundant!I love doing puzzles and quizzes.Keeps the old grey cells ticking over! I like you Dee Sa found the site by accident and find it brilliant.The speed that answers come in to things I have puzzled over for ages never ceases to amaze me.
Good to know that there are others like me out there.Just away to start todays DT Xword.(Unless I have a sudden rush of people wanting to buy a new house!!!!!)
