how did the economic systems of the north and south differ in the early 1800's? what problems did these differences cause?

but in the south there were loads,
they quick came up with the idea of creating a 'Penguin' chocolate bar, and promptly sold loads of them to the polar bears up north, this made them loads of money which they spent on skiing holidays, and they all lived a very splendid life!
whereas up north, all the polar bears, got tooth rot and got fat, and were skint as they spent all their money on 'penguin' chocolate bars.
