flat battery? if it's very flat you'll have to leave it plugged in for a few minutes before it wakes up.

I charge mine with a Motorola mobile phone charger.

also, I downloaded a "start up" picture a few weeks ago and it really made mine play up.. really really slow to start. I had to connect it to the laptop to remove it and it's okay now.

have you tried connecting it to your pc to see if it starts up?

Thank you again Sara3. I have now charged up my Tom Tom in the car for about ten minutes and am pleased to report that it is fit and well again. I believed my granddaughter, who borrowed aforementioned sat nav, she reported that it was definitely terminally ill !!!! I had tried connecting to my PC but it was very definitely sleeping!
