how does the credit crunch affect our endowment mortgage of �27000 which has been running for nearly 25 years and is due to finish in may 2009
in august this year prudential said its still on target to pay the �27000.
should we be worried

Don't worry about it at all.

If the pru says it's on target it should be - there are only a few months left to go, after all.

And if the worst does happen any shortfall should be relatively small, and could be paid off by extending your mortgage by just a few months.
