Price errors!

Hey all,

Quick question and hoping for a quick response!

If an interenet site advertises something at a price, and I then buy it and pay for it at that price, can they turn round and say it should of been a higher price and not send it to me or charge me more?

Hope that makes sense!

If the answer is that they have to sell at the price advertised, then I will let you on to a winner lol!

wiggal . . . I am sure they have NOT made a price error. Because on the page they say . . . You save �150.00 (93%).

I do not know how they can make a profit.

Obviously I won't show the link - I think it's against Answerbank rules

Take on board Chris' point that the 'deal' is only done when you have handed over the money and the seller has handed over the goods.

One of my mates saw this offer yesterday evening, and also placed an order for the set at �9.99 - he has just received an email saying they have cancelled his order, but he can re-order at the price of �99.99.

If something seems too good to be true - it normally is !

think they must have realised a mistake

thigns about that offer;

1) It has now been corrected, seeing as it has been mentioned on just about every forum I've visited in the last 12 hours!
2) The boxed set in question hasn't even been released yet - its on pre-order.
3) They don't take your money until they despatch so they had plenty of time to correct it.

I have been waiting for the email but cant access my home email at work so wasn't sure!

At the end of the day I'm not fussed! I wasn't going to order to start with but then thought that if it did work it would of been good!

Back to the drawing board for my brothers birthday present!
