Anything containing MSG and artificial flavourings - classically a Chinese meal. These cause horrendous vivid dreaming. Similarly nutmeg or cinnamon.
I was told the same thing about apples. Never seemed to bother me, though. I suppose it's up to the individual as much as anything.
Banana is actually supposed to be good before bedtime, it's one of the things recommended for helping lull you to sleep!
I was always told not to eat cheese before bedtime as it gives you nightmares. Whether it does or not I don't know, I've never dared to try it!
Bananas, cucumber, spicy foods - all known to cause indigestion in some people. Apart from antacids, the only way to stop it, is to refrain from eating these foods, particularly before bedtime.
Best not to eat anything before bedtime as the body will be spending vital energy on digesting food when it should be using all it's energy to repair and build you during your sleep!
Cheese is legendary for giving you bad dreams at night. Bananas are very quick digesting & energy giving , which is why you`ll see Wimbledon Championship players eating them in between games - so perhaps not best going to bed - great with Weetabix for breakfast, though! Cucumber skin will "repeat" on you anytime of day, so much as I love it`s taste (& nutrients) I now peel it Obviously anything with caffeine in it.
i always find that eating a whole rack of lamb/pig on a spit usually plays havok with the ol digestion!
