revoke driveing licence
my son went to court for driveing his new car home without insureing it when he bought it he got stopped by the police and went to court he got given 6 points on his licence and the magistrate advised that they would send his licence to dvla and he would hear from them soon within a couple of days he got his licence sent back to him from the court not the dvla with the 6 points added to the counterpart we dont understand why the licence was sent back to him and not sent to the dvla as he was 2 months off of 2 years driveing is his licence going to be revoked or not as the court did not say this

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.mic I can't see in my honest opinion they have any reason to revoke his licence. As long as there were no more than 6 points already on it of course; otherwise he would then total 12 and that would be an instant ban.
Anyway, this would have been made clear to him in court if he had lost his licence. Don't worry he sounds ok to me; the points are invalid in 3years time by the way. Just make sure he gets insurance asap!! The dvla are the ones who act on behalf of the court anyway. They don't make the actual decisions
