I get a usb message when i plug in to it

I was wondering if any one knows how to change the usb's speed I have started getting this message when I plug it in that my usb has a high powerd divice in it and my usb ports nned wont work as good can anoy help me ?
Is there a way of speeding it up with out cost ?

Buy a powered USB hub and plug your stuff into that so it's not taking the power from the USB port anymore.
