Has anyone ever thought about if its possible to turn light out..ie at night we turn on the light why is it not possible to turn out the light in daytime.. or even be able to take away the light in certain areas by just switching on the dark..when you think of it this would have alot of very useful purposes..

Yes there is such a gadget - its called a Deluminator and Ron Weasley found it very useful

Darkness is the absence of light. How can you turn on something that isn't there?
