but if out and about then it will use the normal phone signal and it can be slow. But the sites are pretty much as you get on PC (some default to mobile pages for some reason).
The itouch is the same as phone but without the phone part. Its an MP3 with internet, you tube etc

well i'm biased but iphones are rubbish. What they don't tll you is little things like iPhones don't accept picture messages. Not important to me but it is to some. My daughter got one, it's the most dissapointing thing she's ever had. She hates it!
Most new phones will access the web for less outlay than an iPhone and won't restrict you to o2 to which iPhones are locked to by the way.

I have BT broadband anywhere which is good for e-mail google maps and traffic news and with the sync software I can use it as a modem for my laptop.
"ordinary" websites without a wap alternative are illegible
the BBC, ITV, Radio etc who do have "propper" arrangements won't stream video or audio (or big photos for that matter).
but it's good for e-mail ..... google maps is fair
other than that ..... it's bl@@dy useless.

when I'm out and about - I have my lappy with me ... and I use that to share my phone's internet
If I just have the phone ....it's good for e-mail!!!!
until our eyes improve drastically ... or someone develops a fold out screen (mmmmmm!) it's not going to change (that's why eeePCs and the like are so popular).
