Can anybody help please. I had an Orange Mobile about 3 years ago but ended my contract and I didn't renew it. Is it possible that this number may have been issued to someone else already?

I'm asking as I lost my old phone and by accident I just called the old number of mine and it was answered, so before I cause a stink I need to make sure my fact's are right.

As i'm no longer with Orange I don't want to call them at a premium rate just to ask this.

Regards

well i know they do this with landline numbers so its possible with mobiles too.

You say you cancelled the contract with them, that means the number would have been cancelled too, so whoever got hold of the phone after you lost it, wouldn't be using that number.

So, yes, maybe they have reallocated your old number.  Why dont you email orange and find out if this is their policy.
