Unfair sacking?
My mum started a job at the begining of November, she was employed for 8hrs pw - she recieved NO training, they didnt ask her to sign contract and didnt take any bank details or her p45. Also there was a member of staff beng extemley nasty to her.
Today she went into work and was told they were letting her go as she had made some mistakes!! (she had made a couple of minor mistakes on the till but this was obv due to no training.
We would just like to know if its worth taking any action, as we feelthis just isnt right.
Also my mum overheard another staff member last week saying he wanted more hours..and he was in today when he wouldntnormally be...(he was meant to be leaving which is why my mum started..we r thinking maybe he has just changed his mind and they have tried to make it hard for my mum so theycould sack her)
They have also only just taken her details today to pay her.
Anyone else think it sounds a bit wrong?
As you can imagine shes pretty cut up.
