mystery??
hello everyone, let me tell you what happened last night. some of you know that I lost my dear cat Tinker in July and we have since acquired a very inquisitive kitten.
well anyway I was watching TV and Rocky was sitting on the arm of the sofa when this black shadow passed me. it was quite low down and it was gone in a flash. I know I didnt imagine it as Rocky sat and watched it pass as well but he never reacted. both our heads went in the same direction.
does anyone think this might have been the spirit of Tinker (who was a black cat)just passing by to say he approves of the new member of the family.
I would like to think it was as we talk about Tinker all the time and still really miss him.
love and light Jan x

We had to have our oldest surviving black moggy put down this week due to cronic kidney failure. I still go around the house and picture her in her usual haunts thinking of the happy days we had with her. With two new kittens running amok after every nap I'm sure the heartache of losing Suki will soon be overtaken by the love offerred and taken by the new mogs. I'm sure if Suki is watching over us, she would also approve of her replacements and give them a few tips on how to destroy a suit without the big people catching them!
yes definetly, my horse always had garlic in his feed, the morning after he died there was suddenly an overpowering smell of garlic in my kitchen it lasted a few minutes then went as quickly as it came (i didnt have any garlic) my son was with me so it wasnt my imagination, several things like this have happened
hello Bravehearted and ruthann58
thank you both for your answers, so glad to know other people feel as I do.
its very sad when you lose a pet and I still cry about Tinker now, and I also kept seeing him in my garden and my neighbours garden. even my neighbour saw him.
a new addition to the family isnt a replacement its a new life with a new personality, the only thing is I dont ever remember kittens being such hard work. its good fun tho, and I think my knitting will be on hold for sometime :-)
have a good weekend both of u and take care x

you are quite right you can never replace one we have had a really bad year had a cat killed on the road in feb our gsd finally gave up in april she was 14 then a week after that i had to have a cat put to sleep with cancer in july i had another cat killed on the road then 3 weeks ago today i had another one come home with a smashed face and broken leg thankfully the vet has been able to save her but she has lost her leg some people think that because i have a lot of pets it is not so bad to lose one but i can assure you it isnt ,we talk about ours as well and miss them all so much i have cried so much this year i must have used dozens of kitchen rolls the lounge seems very empty when we sit down in the evening with only 1 dog and 2 cats with us. i wont go and get any more as they have always been sent to us so when 1 turns up i will know that it is the right time for a new addition to the family i just hope its not a kitten as i dont know if i have got the energy for 1
Hi afcjan, I know it's been a while since you posted your question, but I was so pleased to read that someone else has experienced this too. My beloved Bubbles died in 2005, very unexpectedly in her sleep (at the top of the stairs) I acquired 2 cats around a month later (mother and daughter) within 3 months the mother cat had done a bunk to a house a few doors away and now lives very happily with them. Soon after I too kept noticing a dark low shadow every now and then, and often wondered if it was Bubbles coming back to check on little one, as Bubbles had originally been abandoned in a house with her newborn kittens and left to fend for herself when the owners abandoned her. She had such a lovely nature, very passive and loving, I have wondered whether her maternal instincts have brought her back, and also to say hello to me. I do miss her every day, I hope that one day I have the honour and privilledge to rehome a cat like her, although I love little Toffe to bits, she's a firey little minx! Obviously your cat knew she was loved and wanted and is visiting you to let you know she's okay and quite possibly is checking up on how your new addition is treating you!
