Don't know what to think!

Right, been trying for a baby and thought my period had started on Fri but it never got going! All it was was brown yucky stuff and not very much of it! Now its just brown spotting. This is not a normal period at all for me and I have done a negative pregnancy test on Sunday.
So is there a chance I could be pregnant do you think?
Do I go to docs for a blood test?
I just don't want to have a crap xmas by not drinking just in case and want to find out for sure.

I don't know, but whether you're trying for a baby or already pregnant.. drinking isn't really the way to go...

As you probably know stress can affect your periods. So try not to think about it too much (easier said than done I know!) Test again in another few days and let us jnow how you get on!

I don't wanna get your hopes up too much but, I just had brown discharge when I missed my 1st period, when I was pregnant - I think its called implantation bleeding.

youll know by christmas Im sure.
Just take a tests every few days. It would normally show up well within 14 days of missed period if positive.

I had similar symptoms when I was pregnant the first time tigwig. I was late by a few days, so did a test which registered negative. Half an hour after the spotting'd occured, it stopped suddenly, so I waited a bit and then used the second tester in the kit. It was positive that time.

awww i totally understand, just nip the docs and give them a sample and they should get back to you in a few days!

wait a week and take a test this is exactly what happend to me so i took a test which was negative took one a week later it was positive then i also took another 3 becus i was so excited :D good luck x

Thanks for the answers. Well I did the other test in the packet this morning and it was negative too so I'm still unsure!
Think I might go to docs anyway to see what they say. I don't feel pregnant at all but then again I didn't with the first either all though that was different!
Sara when I say drinking over Chrimbo I don't mean getting completely bladdered just a few glasses of wine a night!
Something I definitely couldn't do if I was. I mean why have a sober Chimbo if you don't have to?!
