Speaker connection

I have just bought some new speakers for my computer and plugged everything in as per the instructions, but no sound comes out, when I get on the control panel it tells me I have no device fitted. Any advice? Many thanks in advance.

Did you have working speakers on your system before? If not, you probably don't have any drivers installed for you sound card.

If this is the case you need to install the drivers that came with your machine, or download them from the manufacturer's web site
