Tesco sold this up to a few months ago but I don't have a Tesco store nearby now. I used to buy it and yes, it is nice & similar to Baileys. I'll have a look in Asda on Wednesday when I go in there and report back if I find it.
Hi thanks for your reply but it is the recipe I want to make it .I know there are recipes on here but I had a very simple one that someone gave me from here.
Yes thanks I looked at that one but there is a another one that does not require the chocolate syrup and almond extract but I can't remember what the other ingrediends were but it was very easy and simple to make .Thanks for your reply.
Yes ethandron but I dont remember using chocolate.I can see my recipe written in a notebook and I can't find the bxxxxy notebook so annoying but I will try one out from here thanks
This seems to be as near to the recipe I had .Have just made it but minus the cacao essence and is ok. ingredients:
4 ounces sugar dissolved
2 1/2 ounces water
8 ounces whiskey
5 ounces small tin Ideal (evaporated) milk
5 ounces single (thin) cream (fresh, not tinned)
10 milliliters Cacao essence (I use Tbsp. Noirot, available from Homebrew shops). (DID NOT ADD THIS )

Directions:
This is a good recipe for Bailey's equivalent. If you can't get the Cacoa Essence try it without - it's almost as good!
Dissolve sugar in water and bring to boil. Do not overboil. Cool. Mix all ingredients together and put in refrigerator for 2 hours. It's then OK to drink. Keep in refrigerator due to cream content.
This recipe from CDKitchen for Irish Cream serves/makes
yes Welshlibranr nothing wrong with your recipe it was just that I know I never used chocolate but I will try it without the choc as I think it will make more.
Just a quick update, I made the Irish Cream (link in my earlier post) on Thursday, I was amazed to find that it made nearly 3 litres,if I'd realised I would have made half the quantity, had to rush off and get more bottles, well worth it though, it's absolutely gorgeous! just had a little taste last night, so much better than Baileys!....................welsh
