sprained wrist

i officialy hate moles
triped over a mole hill in the dark and badly sprained my wrist, it is still really painful 4 days later. its in a sling and been to A+E. im taking ibruprofen and paracetamol, but is there anything else i can do??
ps its a pain in the bum being one handed

Did they do a Xray at A&E. Thought I had sprained mine turned out I had broken it

nope only a cottage a+e so only on call radiologist and as appeared unbroken they did not call them in.

i had the same thing as JG only with my ankle, they thought it wasn't broken, then it swelled up like a balloon and they x-rayed it and found a fracture right across the bone. Maybe it would be worth going back and asking for a second opinion. Or you could maybe ring NHS direct and ask their advice, but i'd say they'll also say you should go back and ask for an xray.
