Is there any way to find out if a company has gone into liqidation or receivership this weekend.

Not straight away unless you ring the business concerned. If you go to Companies House you may see a change in Registered Office to the Insolvency Practioners place of business.It's a good clue!

If it's a liquidation, notice to creditors is a maximum 14 days before the meeting of creditors and for an Administration the appoinment is immediate but a meeting has to be held within 8 days
