How cold it is today!!!

Loved the pretty snow this morning but it didn't last long so went to warm up with a friend for coffee then the two if us nutters went and sat for a glass of wine outside!

Did some more sales shopping although was a bit dubious about how much of a good idea of was after some vino then got some fresh goodies from the deli :)

Invoked some karma on the way home, a group of friends got off the tram then the doors shut leaving one of them stuck on as the tram moved off. I couldn't help but laugh (quietly) then got up and my carrier bag broke.

In the warm and staying here now. How's everyone's NYE gear up going?

Funny you should say that bensmum - I was thinking the same!

There definitely aren't as many Christmas tree lights in the windows this year, in fact our road looks quite dead in comparison to previous years.

The ones we've seen in & around the town & countryside have well made up for that though!
Just wondering what on earth Jenna's 'buttered oven bottom' is...can you explain Jenna? :-)
It's forecast to be -7 here tonight! :-o
just heard on radio 18 degrees tonight

I'm in Manchester Puddicat, was only light faffy snow but the lovely pretty kind. Didn't last for long though.

An oven bottom is a bread roll/barm cake/bap, whatever you call them.

I think it's a Lancashire thing, they're flatter than normal rolls.

I loved the barm cakes I used to buy when I lived up in Blackburn. Can't get anything like that down here
