i want to play Blu-ray DVD's but the only Blu-ray player i have is on my laptop. Also on my laptop i have a HDMI port which can connect to my HDTV. the question is really, would i be able to watch Blu-ray DVD's on my HDTV when it is being played on my laptop through the HDMI port. Sorry if this sounds confusein but im finding it difficult how to ask the question lol.

i would guess you might lose some of teh quality though wouldnt you? perhaps?

If both your laptop and your TV have an HDMI interface, then there's absolutely no reason why you should lose quality - that's the point of a High Definition Media Interface
