Do I need a passport to travel from England to Jersey, does
anybody know?

You will probably need a passport, definitely photo id. You would be best advised to check with the carrier whether it's an airline or ferry company.

i travel to and from jersey a lot and every carrier i have used has asked to see passport, or at very least photo ID for security purposes, to allow you to pass through the actual airport, nothing to do with entering/leaving jersey.Jersey is lovely, enjoy :-)
