radio crackling on mw

any ideas..i have a vw golfand had another radio fitted the other day bacause first one packed up.but this radio works fine on FM but when on Medium Wave and engine running it crackles so much it is not listenable.the radio was fitted by an experienced electrician.

Check the Earth at the aerial to radio, check the aerial itself, Check the connectors themselves, Take the radio back & get them to sort it, after all, that is why you got him to install it in the first place.
