Did anyone find tonight's episode as emotional as I did?

First we had the evil Janine taking Terrence the dog away from a sobbing little Tiffany, then Whitney comes home and tells Bianca that she is her real mum.

Finally we had Lauren being carted off into an interview room, by at least 3 surly coppers, whilst Max pleads with them to release her. She then tells her dad she loves him.

Talk about a real weepy of an episode.

who was the actress playing Whitneys real mum? I knew the face....
you're right velvet - the last bit where whitney tells biana "you're my mum" brought tears to my eyes. The character of Bianca has certainly matured & I think Patsy Palmer has played that role brilliantly.
Ruth Gemmell plays Debra Dean - Whitney's mum. She's been in loads of tv progs - but I remember her best as the girlfriend character in the film Fever Pitch - circa 1996-97.
i was wondering where ive seen her mother from .lauren is a lovely girl i would of liked a daughter like her ..
agree with the terance bit how cruel. But whitney needs a good talking too about running off all the time. and when she came back and said 'you're my mum' all I thought was oh right now she is just because the other mum didnt want her, wonder what she'd have done if she did, not given two hoots about bianca I bet!!
The kid that plays whitney is a very fine young actress.
The little ginger one who plays Tiffany is a great little actress, she plays her part so well it could be real.
I agree gelda - & isn't it refreshing that they've used a little girl who is 'not-the-norm' - as in those so-cute-you-could-puke little actors who could win a Miss Pears competition. Ginger, freckly, sweet, & genuine.

Although I must admit I think the little actress who plays Karen in the bbc sitcom Outnumbered absolutely adorable, and just as natural an actor.
