settee repair

My feline friend has damaged my settee, any ideas on how I can repair it?

In what way has your friend *damaged* the sofa - is the leather ripped or is the fabric torn...what is the sofa fabric made of ? Piccies of the damage might help too !

The settee is made of leather, the scratches have snagged the leather lifting tiny triangles of the top colour. It is pale cream, but the colour under this looks beige.

my cat has done the same thing. you can claim on your contents insurance. they sent 2 leather specialists to my house and they made it sound hugely expensive.

my sofas are getting old and my excess was about �100. I decided it wasn't worth doing in case Colin got his claws out again.

now look, all I want to know is how to fix the settee.!!
The Cat is a short haired grey called Cyril, minus his bits (lucky for him he had them removed two years ago, otherwise it would have been a rough and ready operation with the toe end of a boot tonight).

Try superglue to stick down the pieces. Then spray the leather with lemon/pine smell to keep cat off.

You could try getting Cyril a cat-scratching post. Then he might leave your furniture alone. He might not, mind you .... depends on how miffed he is with ya for chucking him out in the cold.

Thanks for the thought, Cyril is now curled up on his sheepskin rug in front of the fire, I thought I had better let him back in.
He has a scratching post but it is not in the same room,

Here's a tip for you buddy ...... put scratching post and cat in the same room. Problem solved!

I was going to buy leather and had second thoughts. Did you get the cat first or the sofa? If you got the cat first well you should of known better! lol
I made these setter covers for my sofa suite, because throws just keep coming off. Your sofa is going to get a lot more scratches on it!
The covers have to be scratch proof, there are some types of cotton, not all which are scratch proof. Its one of those 100% strong cotton, think about getting some type of cover for it.
Well you seemed to have got the advise for repairing it. I am giving it for prevention.
