decorative wall
4 Answers
I want build a small raised area in my garden, contained by a decorative wall. The wall would be the small sections type from B&Q etc. It wouldn't be more than a foot high. Does anyone know how I'd best go about making it secure, there won't be much weight behind it, but, in all probability, there will be children jumping on and off of it. Many thanks.

We used railway sleepers, the kind that don't seep oil. They suit the wooded area very well & you don't need to dig a trench, as they are heavy enough to stand alone. (If you're making a square or rectangle shape with them, you can fix brackets on the corners to secure the earth).
Our fairies, pixies, toadstools & ferns love it down there in their natural habitat!
