Rip-Off Tesco
15 Answers
Sometimes I buy 'bargains' from Tesco at reduced prices, as do we all, but 80% of the time it goes through the till at the full price and I can never be bothered complaining about it, I did today and got double the difference back.
I will now be more vigilant, they do this so often its ridiculous.
Sad when youve gotta go through your receipt checking things.
Anyone else noticed this?

I think lots of supermarkets are like this. last week in Sainsburys I bought a couple of pizzas that were marked "2 for 4", when I checked my receipt I was charged for 2 @ 3.79. I queued at customer services and they said, "oh, it's for all varieties except that one!". I got a refund.
you do have to check, and lots of mistakes are made.
not fair!

Over 2 years ago Tescos accused me of overstaying on their car park by 3 hours when I was only on it 10 minutes in total. When I complained they sayed I had been over 3 hours. I wrote back and sent them my club card and said I would not shop with them anymore. After 2 weeks I received a letter from them without an apology stating that the equipment they used for checking cars on and off the car park was faulty and they had removed my car details from their default list.
Needless to say I have never been in a Tesco since and may I suggest that this could be your answer.

Near where I live a new so called super duper Tesco has opened in Bradley Stoke, Nr Bristol, that now sells a huge amount of home and electrical items. Everyone thought "wonderful". However, their customer relations are very poor, the shallow trolleys quite away from the entrance, car park nowhere near big enough and trolley parks in the carpark very few and far between (this in a brand new car park), like the above complaints things go through the tills at the wrong amount and when you complain they always come up with an excuse and I swear they change the labels on the shelves to say so confuse me, special offer shelves nearly always empty (which they should keep well stocked if on special offer!). I've shopped with them for years, but am seriously thinking of changing to ASDA. Take note, Tesco.
It's not only Tesco who get the prices wrong weeal.
We have a Tesco express where 2 out of the 3 tills are self serve ones. Quite often they go wrong so two members of staff have to come & sort the problem out. I refuse to use them, if they can spout about making nearly 3 billion profit they can serve their customers properly. Next they'll be expecting us to fill a shelf before we leave!
Yes, I'm a grumpy old(ish) woman
I really only go in there for the strawberry cheesecakes!
:o)

Totterdown, not tried the new super duper bradley Stoke one but in Redfield it's nightmare. I was banned at one time for complaining about how rude the staff were to me! A large number of local people put a letter together about their high ( and rapidly rising )prices. Their response was to tack an bit more signage on the outside saying 'express' and then wrote back justifying that express stores prices were always higher due to their location! Bad, enough, but the store is in a noted 'deprived inner city area'!!!!
I shop at Asda now :)
