As Barmaid says, if you get your arrears down below 2 months, even by paying only a portion of a months rent, then the LL probably wont get possession based on an s8 notice.
Are you still in a fixed term tenancy (e.g. 6 month term) or is it periodic? If youre in a fixed term and can keep the arrears below the 2 months owed then the LL probably wont be able to repossess until after the end of the fixed term. If youre in a periodic tenancy the LL can give you 2 months notice to quit by issuing an s21 notice now.
If you havent been served any notice then youre ok for now as any repossession is probably months away.
