3 Year Old Smoker

I heard on the News that a mother in Wales has been given a suspended sentence, for allowing her 3 year old to smoke.

It just beggars belief the kind of parenting that is occurring in the 21st century. A suspended sentence was, in my opinion, far too lenient, she should have been jailed.

they probably thought better a crap mother than no mother at all. You don't lightly throw a kid's mother in jail, however dreadful she is.

any woman that feeds their kid drugs whether its alcohol,cigs or class a's etc... needs to have their womb removed and their vagina partly sewn up! now only god knows what other horrors this kid has seen/done and unfortunately this innocent child because of this lack of parenting will very likely end up smoking,drinking taking drugs,getting into trouble and only being 10% of the person he could've become! poor guy!

When I read these stories I dread to think what else has gone on .It just don't bear thinking about as you really cannot believe that this and other sick crimes go on. I look at my children and grandchildren and think how lucky I am that they are ok .In this cruel world today this will never stop and every day more and more children will be subject to hidious crimes.Because we would not do these things we just can't understand why some people can do these things. Gymrat yes I agree with you. Sometimes makes me wonder if there is a God but most of these people are caught and punished but the victims are left with scars for the rest of there lives .

I read this in today's Metro and I was shocked. How could a mother be so oblivious?
She claims she didn't see him smoke as she was on the phone. Like dur couldn't she smell it? People like this make me sick and I feel this kid would be better off without his mother.
