daughter prob down below

Hi everyone, i took my 9 yr old daughter to doc today, as she has like a small cyst on her girlie bits, which has now popped and has clear fluid oozing out.
She is red down there and the skin looks a bit crumpled, also her clitoris is constantly hard and is painful to touch.
The doc didnt even look, all he said was put on some cream he gave me for the cyst. We were in there for 2 mins max!
What should i do? I am concerned, as this problem with the hard clitoris has benn going on for months, only made worse by this cyst.
I feel very let down now, and am worried as its causing discomfort for her.
Any ideas on what i should do or what it could be would be hugely appreciated!! xx

Just another thought, is there any history of autoimmune dieases (or anything else) in the family?

Don't worry about being thought to be a neurotic mother sheribee. If you are worried about anything at all then tell the doctor. You are not neurotic, you are just a very caring mum, and understandably worried at the moment. I would be feeling just as you do. I have been thinking about you and your little girl this evening. Please let us know how you get on tomorrow.

By the way, when I was a child I had recurrent mouth ulcers. I still get them occasionally - it's just the way I am. However, they are often a sign of being run down - and I wouldn't be surprised if your daughter was run down at the moment with this problem. Please do mention them to the nurse tomorrow.

Mouth ulcers as well....jenna's suggestion of either diabetes or auto-immune is interesting and should be followed up.

how awful. the poor little thing! i would definately insist on a second opinion and possibly a referal to a gynecologyst, im amazed that your gp didnt habe a look at your daughter in the first place! good luck
