very strange c-max

hi i have an 04 c-max 1.6 diesel with a very strange problem every time i start the engine the electric boot release operates opening the boot the only way i have found to stop this is to lock myself in via drivers central locking before starting engine its now driving me mad!!!! can anyone solve this mystery please.

try starting the car using the spare key (that doesnt have the remote locking on it)

Itll at least help your narrow it down

I have to ask, are you sure youre not pressing the boot release button on the key as you start the car?

Thanks for your reply unfortunatly we only have the master key so cannot try your suggestion and we have made sure we are not touching the release button as we start the car.

When you insert the key does it feel as if the whole thing is loose? It may be that there is a short elect circuit within the column key area
