PC Drawing plate
Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for in a pc drawing plate, just as a toy to start with. Netto have one on sale from 29th January at a cost of 19.99, will it be any good? they always seem to sell out quick. Simple jargon would be appreciated. Thanks, Kath.

very good for freehand drawing and also for RSI sufferers
they can be extremely pricey depending on size (a4 = 250)
bit if a dilemma
the cheaper the tablet the lower the sensitivity ... and the less responsive the "nib" - so drawing is a bit of a pain - and you could be put off ....
.... trouble is ... if you get a good one and change your mind ...

Thanks AC, Your link was very interesting, It didn't really help me to decide whether the cheap one would be worth getting, as you say it is a bit of a dilemma. 20 is not a vast amount if it turns out to be rubbish. but I think I will decide when I am actually in the shop tomorrow. Thanks again. Kath.
yea but no but ....
I got one ages ago (mainly for wife) It's worse than a mouse for mousey stuff...
absolutely invaluable for editing/creating artwork
I edit ...
the wife creates (that statement works on so many levels ;-/
for 20 quid you'll get an idea ... if you get the bug save your pennies.
what would be good would be to try one .... can you persuade a friend that they can't live without one?
