I have just taken my cat for his annual health check and the vet told me his teeth were discoloured and getting decayed. He recommended the Hills t/d food which is supposed to scrape off the tartare. Is this stuff as good as the packaging says it is or is the Go cat dry food just as effective at a fraction of the cost?
The food is expensive I think. I use a powder for my cats. I get it from petmeds (google them) it is a little pot and you sprinkle a tiny amount on the food, once a day. The pot is small but I have two cats and one pot lasts 6 months. The powder contains an enzyme to stop the tartar build up. It is called Plaqueoff and the 60g size is 8
I have heard from some vets that the cat foos in supermarkets is pretty shi*
the wet food has all sorts of left over animal products in it - and the biscuits are poor quality
I realise most of us cant afford the more expensive pet shop brands like Hills.. but if you can afford it I would say it is definately better!
Iams is very good too. and Eukaneuba
