can anybody tell me which is best for cooking with. Creme fraiche or fromage fraise. I'm trying to find an alternative to cream for making say, white wine and cream sauce. Thanks
I find low fat creme fraiche is really useful instead of cream and it doesnt seem to split quite as easily as yogurt. Sometimes I make do with yogurt but put a bit of cornflour in to try an dstop it splitting I dont like fromage frais the texture is too cloying. I havent used the full fat versions of anything coz I like my food too much so I am always on a bloomin diet !
