The BBC withdrew from providing coverage as a response to the criticism of some breeds in the programme Pedigree Dogs Exposed. They wanted the Kennel Club to agree to them not showing images of any of the breeds concerned, but the Kennel Club would not bow to that ridiculous demand. This included not showing breeds such as German Shepherds, Cavaliers, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Pekingese and also the St Bernard - which is very ironic because what is the current story line on the BBC soap Eastenders - Bradley has 'acquired' a pedigree champion St Bernard which he is going to enter into a show to make lots of money! Hypocrites.

Here is a link to the Kennel Club's Crufts website, there will be video coverage on there.

I hope that another network takes on the coverage, as it does attract millions of viewers. Horse and Country would be great, or even Channel 4 if they do it as well as their racing coverage. When you think how many households own a dog the BBC have really cut off their muzzle to spite their face!
