After the war, Mosely and his wife lived in France, although he did stand twice more for parliament. He died in 1980.

Mosley married one of the Mitford sisters.
Another one - Unity was in germany when war was declared and blew her brains out - but survived and was repatriated after a few years.
I think Mosley'#s wife was interned with him and gave anot very pretty account of it - the guards were corrupt and stole the internees jewellery and watches.
He was of course the brother in law of the Duke of Devonshire and was the son in law of another - Redesdale. Lord Redesdale said that he dreaded headlines in the papers like - Peers daughter says she is a Jew hater
which in view of the Moselys views were frequent.
There is an interesting piece about him in yesterday's Observer. According to the author Nick Cohen (a Jewish name), Moseley was no more or less racist than any other member of the aristocracy. He picked on the Jews because he believed (wrongly) that it would get him support in the East End. Don't disagree with In a Pickle's assessment of him though.
He and Diana Mitford had two sons, Max and Alexander. Max (born 1940?), is well known in motor racing circles. He raced in F2 and was one of the founders of famous racing car manufacturers MARCH. He is now a familiar and often controversial figure to GP fans as he is in his third term as president of the FIA. I have seen him described as an egomaniac. I wonder how sympathetic he is to his father's politics.
